Indonesia Unveils the World’s First Biometric Immigration Corridor

ree

Indonesia is set to become the first country in the world to introduce a fully biometric corridor for immigration clearance at its airports. Powered by Amadeus’ AI-driven digital identity and facial recognition technology, the system allows travellers who pre-enrol their passport data to walk directly through immigration without paperwork, queues, or manual checks. The first corridors are being installed at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Surabaya Airport. As part of the “All Indonesia” programme, the initiative aims to streamline entry procedures, with priority access initially offered to seniors and passengers with disabilities through pre-registration on the All Indonesia app.
