Malaysia Airlines Expands East Asia Network with New Routes

Malaysia Airlines is strengthening its presence in East Asia with a major network expansion set for 2026. The airline will resume direct flights to Fukuoka, Japan, marking its return after nearly 20 years, and launch new routes to Shenzhen and Changsha, China between July and September 2026.
This move expands the airline’s China network to nine key destinations, including major hubs like Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, reinforcing Kuala Lumpur as a strategic gateway to Asia.
Alongside new routes, Malaysia Airlines will:
Increase flight frequencies to Brisbane, Manila, and Colombo
Add extra Kuala Lumpur–London flights in April 2026 to support disrupted travel demand
