Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi, meeting with the guide and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in the reserved room. Free time at your disposal for a little relaxation. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast, depart for full day tour of Hanoi. The first stops are the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (which can be admired from the outside), the Residence on stilts of President Ho Chi Minh and the Pagoda on a Single Column, built in wood and equipped with a single stone pillar, which resembles a lotus flower, symbol of purity; Ba Dinh Square, where Ho Chi Minh read the proclamation of Vietnam's independence from the French in 1945; the Museum of Ethnology, a rich collection of handicrafts, ethnic art and everyday utensils from all over Vietnam, or the Women's Museum, a comprehensive exhibition representing the many roles of women in Vietnamese society and culture. A section is dedicated to the Heroines who distinguished themselves during the war; the Temple of Literature, home to the first University of Vietnam. Lunch included in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, a cycle ride and pleasant walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, the lake of the Returned Sword which evokes the legend of a giant turtle and a magic sword used to drive the Chinese out of Vietnam; the Old Quarter of Hanoi with its famous streets teeming with life. Visit a traditional "flower house" to see how this fascinating art is handed down and maintained from generation to generation. Guests will learn how to recognise exotic flowers and the art of making compositions for spiritual offerings.
Transfer to Hanoi station for the night train to Lao Cai (08 hours approximately). At Hanoi station support room in the hotel so that you can freshen up before the overnight train ride. Overnight on the night train (air-conditioned cabin divided for 4 people).
Day 3: Arrival in Lao Cai early in the morning. Meeting with the local guide at the station, and transfer to Sapa. Breakfast is served at a local restaurant in Sapa before reaching Linh Ho from where the walking tours will start. First, walk in the Muong Hoa Valley, passing through some of the beautiful rice terraces that the region is known for. During the walk you will enjoy breathtaking views; we will stop at several points that offer panoramic views of the valleys below. Thanks to the linguistic skills of the local guide, you will have the opportunity to interact with the local 'Hamong' people to learn more about them, customs and traditions. Lunch included during the excursion. After lunch, we continue on the side of the valley towards the main village inhabited by the Dzao people called Giang Ta Chai, to learn about local life and to experience the ratan bridge. Return to Sapa. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the local guide and departure for a local market. Here you can admire and see the various local ethnic groups Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay and Nung. The market offers a variety of local products, which have not been found in other areas such as an interesting animal market where pigs, cows and buffaloes can be seen. Then continue for a short walk to a hill tribe village. Lunch included in a local restaurant. In the late afternoon, transfer back to Lao Cai before taking the shared bus back to Hanoi (05 hours approximately). Overnight at Hotel.
Day 5: After breakfast, transfer to Halong (2.5 hours approximately). Halong Bay, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1994, is one of the natural wonders of Vietnam. Upon arrival in Halong, embark on your cruise cruise. An unforgettable experience, surrounded by a spectacular landscape with thousands of limestone islands of the most disparate shapes emerging from emerald waters. Lunch included on board.
The afternoon activities depend on the program of each individual boat. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6: The day begins at dawn with some Tai Chi exercises and the cruise continues before returning to Halong Port. Brunch on board. Upon arrival in Halong, transfer to Hanoi airport for departure for Danang. Arrival and transfer to Hoi An (30 min approximately). Accommodation in the reserved hotel. Free time available. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7: After breakfast, short boat trip along the Thu Bon River, through a landscape of coconut palm plantations, to learn about the uses and customs of the daily life of the local population. A walk to visit the ancient and historic city of Hoi An, to discover its treasures: the Japanese Covered Bridge, symbol of the city, the Phuc Kien Pagoda, the ancient residence of Tan Ky built about two centuries ago by a family of Vietnamese origin; and the Quang Dong Assembly Hall, the Chinese Community Meeting Room.
Lunch included in a local restaurant. Free afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 8: Breakfast at the hotel. Crossing the Pass of the Clouds the journey continues towards Hue. On the way stop in Danang to visit the Linh Ung Pagoda, on the Son Tra peninsula, famous for the large statue of Lady Buddha, another 67 meters. and from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Declared a World Heritage Site, Hue also boasts its charm due to its location on the picturesque Perfume River.
Lunch included in local restaurant. In the afternoon, a visit to the Citadel which recalls the splendor of the Imperial era, and where the Nguyen Dynasty reigned from 1802 to 1945. We continue with a visit to the Khai Dinh Tomb, the penultimate Emperor of Vietnam and the tomb of Tu Duc. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 9: After breakfast, early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh. In the morning, visit to the Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine, where you can admire an interesting collection of relics, ancient objects, books and documents that tell the evolution of traditional medicine. Passing by the Reunification Palace, once known as the Independence Palace and the residence of South Vietnamese President Van Thieu until 1975, we continue with a walk to admire the main tourist and historical points of interest in the city: the Dong Khoi Road, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Opera House, officially the Municipal Theatre and the City Hall. Lunch included in a local restaurant. Accommodation and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Mekong Delta. After about two hours by car, you will reach Ben Tre, famous for the production of coconut confectionery. A boat excursion to discover picturesque places, visit to a factory where bricks are produced using ancient traditional methods. We then continue with a visit to a small family-run factory where typical sweets and other coconut-based products are produced and a horse-drawn carriage ride through a landscape of fruit plantations. After lunch included a rowing boat trip along the canals. Return to Ho Chi Minh, free time at your disposal. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11: Breakfast at the hotel. Free time available until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for the departure flight.
