Departure after breakfast for a full day tour  of Bago, the ancient Mon capital, 80 km from Yangon. Visit the 1000 years old Shwemandaw pagoda, 114  meters high, one of the most venerated in Myanmar then the colorful market. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit of the Shwethalyaung Buddha, a 55 meters long and 16 meters high huge Reclining Buddha. Visit to Kyak Pun pagoda, with 4 gigantic 30 meters high Buddhas sitting back to back. Drive back to Yangon, with a stop to a famous "Nat" shrine.

Day 1 -  early morning departure by road via Bago to kin pun base camp ( 190 km, about 5 hours drive ) with  lunch at local restaurant on the way.  From here we can reach the famous golden rock, a massive boulder completely coated by layers of gold leaf delicately balanced on the very edge of a cliff of the mountain, with on top a small gilded pagoda, which is said to contain a relic of the Buddha. From Kin Pun proceed by local open truck on a steep dirt  road, then the last part of the climbing is done by walking (4 km, in about 45 minutes). On the top the atmosphere is filled with magic and devotion and the view is magnificent. Dinner and overnight at Kyaikhtiyo hotel ( very simple/basic).
