Day 1

ARRIVE / KUALA LUMPUR

 

Meet at KLIA airport and transfer to your hotel. Departure for a 3 hours city tour in the afternoon. The tour starts passing through the busy city center and witness the longest painting in the world on the walls of the Pudu Jail and cruise along Independence Square before driving through Chinatown. Drive up to the King's Palace and the river confluence at Masjid Jamek, where Kuala Lumpur was founded. Visit the National Monument, which was built in dedication to the fallen heroes. Witness a fine Moorish Architecture from the 19th Century in Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Railway Station. Catch a glimpse of the National Mosque. Overnight.

 

   

Day 2

KUALA LUMPUR

 

In the morning, after breakfast, depart for a full day tour to Malacca, which is 160 kilometers to the south of Kuala Lumpur. This state is the most important landmark in the country. The Portuguese, Dutch and English had also ruled Malacca. The ruins and building of these foreign powers can still be seen today, in the midst of the fast developing, but carefully planned township. Visit The Porta de Santiago, St Paul's Church, the Stadhuys Building, Christchurch, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (Oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia), Jonker Street, jade house showroom and Bukit China are among the places to visit. Day 3

KUALA LUMPUR / CAMERON HIGHLANDS

 

In the morning, depart for Cameron Highlands which is 1542 metres above sea level and famous for its tea plantation and cool temperatures. We will stop at the Batu Caves, a Hindu temple (except during Thaipusam). Proceed north to Cameron. On the way visit Lata Iskandar Water fall, a native settlement and a bamboo basket-making stall. The temperature can drop to 15 degrees Celsius. Sweaters are recommended for evenings. Overnight (Lch).

 

   

Day 4

CAMERON HIGHLANDS / PENANG

 

Cameron Highland tour starts in the morning with a visit to the tea plantation, tea factory, a vegetable farm and the market. After that, proceed to Penang. Along the journey visit the Sam Poh Tong Temple in Ipoh, the Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace, Istana Kenangan Museum and the 1st rubber tree of Malaysia at Kuala Kangsar. Cross the third longest bridge in the world, that links the Peninsula and Penang Island. Overnight. (Abf & Lch).

 

   

Day 5

PENANG

 

After breakfast, enjoy a Georgetown tour visiting the reclining Buddha at the Wat Chayamangkalaram, the 4th longest reclining Buddha in the world. Next visit the Fort Cornwallis of the East India Co., where Captain Francis Light landed in 1786.
View the heritage of the Khoo Kongsi Clan house (from the outside), where you will be fascinated by the detailed carvings on the walls, pillars and roofs by master craftsmen from China. Finally, stop at the Botanical Gardens, which offer lush green surroundings with a variety of tropical plants and birdlife. Beware of the monkeys that wait for some feeding from visitors, but please do not feed the monkeys. Afternoon, free at leisure. Overnight. (Abf).

 

   

Day 6

PENANG / ONWARD
