Meet at Sandakan airport
and transfer Gomantong Caves (110 km). Spend the morning
exploring the caves and surrounding rainforest. Proceed
to Sukau (25km) for lunch at Sukau Rainforest Lodge.
Take 3 hours river cruise in search of Proboscis Monkeys
as they settle down for the night on treetops along
riverbanks. Birdlife is also rich especially Kingfishers,
Egrets, Hornbills, Darters, Eagles, Broadbills among
others. Overnight at Sukau Rainforest Lodge. (Lch/

Day 2
SUKAU / KINABATANGAN
/ SUKAU
Wake up to the call
of Borneo Gibbons and Hornbills. Cruise up misty Kinabatangan
River at 6 am to Kelenanap oxbow lake in search of
more wildlife. Do a half hour jungle walk around lakeside
before returning for breakfast. In the afternoon, we
have the option to cruise along Kinabatangan River.

Day 3
SUKAU / SEPILOK
/ SANDAKAN
After breakfast, transfer
2 hours overland to Sepilok in time for the feeding
of the Orang Utans at 1000 in the morning. Visit the
Croccodile farm and Puu Jih Shih Temple followed by
a city tour of Sandakan before transfer to the airport
for onward flight. (B/fast /Lch)
NOTE:
Lodge, rooms with attached
bathroom and fan. (SIMPLE CHALETS).
What to bring:
Insect repellent, leech
socks, long sleeve shirts and long pants, raincoat,
sun hat, swim wear, comfortable trekking shoes (two
pairs needed), torch light, water bottle, bath towels & personal
toiletries.
