Meet, greet and depart
to Sepilok. Visit the World Largest Orang Rehabilitation
Center to observe man’s closet animal relative
being rehabilitated to become wild. Witness the Orang
Utan feeding by the rangers at the platform. Proceed
overland to Sukau, journey will take approximately
2 hour 15 minutes passing by Oil Palm plantation and
villages. On the road a quick stop at Gomantong caves,
to learn how the local people climb the rocks to collect
the famous bird’s nests. Continue toward Sukau.
Upon arrival check into the lodge. Late afternoon,
cruise up to the Kinabatangan River to Menanggul River
to search for wildlife or notably Proboscis Monkeys.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight (*). (Lch

Day 2
SUKAU / SANDAKAN
Wake up by the calls
of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, proceed to
the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience
the early morning river ambiance of the longest river
of Sabah. Return lodge for breakfast. Free at leisure,
check out after lunch and overland back to Sandakan
and continue with Sandakan City tour which inclusive
of; Malay Fishing Village of Kampung Buli Sim Sim,
where the houses are built on stilts, Puh Jih Syh Chinese
Buddhist Temple which at 300 M above sea level offers
a panaromic view of Sandakan Bay and Rotary Observation
Pavillion for bird’s eye view of Sandakan Town.
Return to the airport (preferably on MH 2065). (Lch

NOTE:
Lodge, rooms with attached
bathroom and fan. (SIMPLE CHALETS).
What to bring:
Insect repellent, leech
socks, long sleeve shirts and long pants, raincoat,
sun hat, swim wear, comfortable trekking shoes (two
pairs needed), torch light, water bottle, bath towels & personal
toiletries.
